If you've never been to the Showcase SuperLux in Chestnut Hill it's huge! And gorgeous. Upon arrival we like to head up the escalators and grab a drink at the SuperLux Lounge where they serve up hand-crafted signature cocktails at their full bar in a chic space. Order apps or if art is your thing, this Showcase Cinema location is the only location to feature custom artwork from local artists, I recently attended the opening of Showcase SuperLux' gallery exhibit featuring one-of-a-kind portraits of iconic Hollywood movie stars called "Surreal Hollywood" from artist Lia Burke. You can get a peek at these absolutely stunning works in and around the lounge area.

When you're ready to take your seats and settle in and watch the movie it's the ultimate experience in comfort and convenience; these theaters feature heated, reclining seats with adjustable headrests, cozy blankets to snuggle up with your sweetie (or hide behind during horror flicks), and rotating tray tables with in-seat dining and drink options. Did I mention it's a foodies delight? With a full scratch kitchen their in-seat dining options include decadent bites like Parmesan Truffle Fries and Buffalo Mac and Cheese. It's truly the ultimate movie going experience and a fresh take on the tried and true date night concept.

More than I love sipping champagne at shopping events, more than I love brunching with my friends, more than I love going out to dinner with bae, I love me some TV. It all started with my love of Law & Order and it's gotten severely out of control since the invention of the Internet. I'm guilty of spending days binge watching new series (just last week I spent Thanksgiving catching up on Chicago PD) and I'm guilty of getting wayyyyy too into my favorite shows (let's just say I'm a crier).

My new favorites? The Chicago trilogy on NBC! It all started with Chicago Fire, then Chicago PD, and most recently Chicago Med. I'm obsessed and did I mention Taylor Kinney (AKA Lady Gaga's handsome as hell fiancee) is one of the main characters in Chicago Fire? Plus, NBC makes it easy to watch their shows pretty much anywhere and every where with TVEverywhere. Just head to nbc.com and click on "Full Episodes" and start watching! So simple and so convenient, especially since my TV has been broken for months. Who needs a television when you have TVEverywhere?

Try an Oak Mule with ginger beer, Absolut Oak, and a lime wedge or an Oak sour with a little simple syrup and twist of lemon. Or my personal fave, an Oak Ginger with a splash of ginger ale and a wedge of lime. Better yet, swing by my place and I'll make you a drink in my mini bar! 

Power Mate Plus: In the event your iPhone goes dead give it a boost with this little device. Super portable and with the power to almost completely charge your iPhone you'll carry it around with you on a daily basis. P.S. It charges the iPad as well! 

Earplugs: Crying babies and obnoxious seat mates are no match for a good pair of earplugs. They're cheap and disposable and available at drugstores and sometimes in the terminals. Get some.

Headphones: Headphones should be a common courtesy when travelling in such a tight space. Unfortunately, not everyone is in on this fact so I like to put in my headphones and listen to some of my favorite albums. Right now I'm really into Florence & The Machine.
