I wanted to get in on the fun celebrating the opening of their new location, so I popped into their Natick store to shop for a new look. The staff there was in the process of unpacking their new collection and I'm absolutely in love with it! When I laid eyes on the block party dress I could see myself wearing to beach days, cookouts, and even running around the city on warm summer days. I'm hoping the weather gets better so I can wear it alone, but until then I'll be layering it with their dusk dress jacket. I'm absolutely loving this lightweight layering piece for meetings and running around town and I have my eye on the matching pants!

By far my favorite new piece I picked up from Nic + Zoe are these Brynn Wedges. They come with these beautiful printed scarf ties for the ankle but they also came with leather ankle straps for a more traditional espadrille. It's like two pairs in one! And did I mention they're amazingly comfortable? A great shoe all around.

While her on-stage garb consists of over-the-top, candy colored costumes her casual style is very much like my own. Lots of grey and black, simple shoes, and a great pair of sunglasses; Katy has it down.

I've been meaning to post this for weeks; I wore this look to the Nordstrom Rack opening shindig in March. I enjoyed drinks and snacks while taking in the new store. I was really impressed by the selection of sunglasses; YSL, McQueen, Fendi, Dior, all priced at $99 each. I will be stopping in next time I'm in the area and my budget allows! 



I paired the 3.1 Phillip Lim sweater dress I scored at the Gilt sale with my Zara studded sleeve coat. I had been hunting for the perfect slouchy sweater dress and this is it! I love the attached scarf and the soft cashmere/wool blend. I think the open front is a nice touch too, casual but very chic. All in all, a good find I would say.

I can't wait any longer. I absolutely, positively, need spring now. Sunny skies, pink and yellow tulips, and long walks with my dog are so close I can feel it! These slightly warmer days have been such a treat and with April quickly approaching, I am already thinking about Spring shoes. And just like that old riddle, April is sure to bring some spring showers with it.

The last time I wore these pants I took a totally different approach. Much more tailored and work oriented. This time I switched up the top and accessories for a totally different feel. I love how a simple striped top can act so much like a neutral. How would you style these pants?
