Pro-Tip Tuesday: Making Your Eyes Pop While Wearing Glasses

1:26 PM

Most days I wear my contact lenses, but occasionally I'll throw on a pair of glasses. It's not very often, which is absurd because I have five pairs. When I do wear glasses I choose to add a little more emphasis to my eye makeup; just enough to make them pop.

My go-to look is a simple smoky eye with a bit of a heavier hand; I use Benefit's Bad Gal and smudge it around the lid, and add lots of black mascara to the top and bottom lashes. I skip eye liner on the waterline because it can make me look tired when I'm wearing my glasses.

If I want to have a little more fun I add a colored liner, eye shadow, or mascara for a little edge. Maybelline's Great Lash in Royal Blue is by far my favorite colored mascara. And at around $5 it's a steal!

Don't be afraid to put a little more on than usual or apply your liner a bit thicker than you normally would. I like using liquid liners because you can make the line thicker without too much effort. When I use a normal pencil I end up making it twice as thick as I intended and there's just no turning back from that.
