My Everyday Hero: Josie Glausen

11:06 PM

Renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz made waves in 1999 with her book of portraits, Women. Today she's honoring a new generation of women in collaboration with UBS. Launched in London in January of this year the UBS X Leibovitz collaboration explores the changes in the roles of women while hilighting this incredible artist and her work. Throughout the year the exhibit will travel to ten cities including New York City. It's currently on exhibit in San Francisco and will be heading to Singapore next! In preparation for this empowering exhibit UBS wants you to #ShareYourHero.

You hear people say "Not all heroes wear capes," and that is the truth when it comes to my friend Josie. She's a local teacher, aims to be a voice within her community, animal lover and supporter, and an all around good person. Josie spends her days teaching at a Boston public school and is constantly working to inspire her students to unleash their full potential while pushing locals to get more involved in the education issues facing the students in their community. She spends her free time spinning at The Handle Bar and inspiring her friends and Twitter followers to stay motivated and visit local workout studios and events. She's also a die hard animal activist and dog mom to some adorable rescue pups.

People like Josie are few and far in between and I'm so lucky to know her! Is there a woman you consider your hero? #ShareYourHero on Instagram and tag @UBS! You can see your everyday heroes on the site!
