Style Wire: What inspired you to leave the Dominican Republic?
Clara Diaz: The decision to leave the Dominican Republic came from my parents. "Coming to America" and bringing their 4 children here was a huge accomplishment for them. I really didn't want to come, but on my way here I remember promising myself that I would do my best to make the most of the opportunity and go back to help the family I left behind.

SW: What exactly is a life coach? And why would someone need one?
CD: A life coach is a professional title for someone that can support you in the process of attaining what you desire in life; from tangible goals like achieving the dream of owning a home, to attracting a soul mate, to non-tangibles like confidence, self-esteem and a positive mindset. There are coaches for different specialties and mine is empowering professional women and entrepreneurs to increase their confidence and income by helping them discover their life purpose and develop a positive mindset to achieve personal greatness!

SW: You just wrote an audiobook, what was that process like?
CD: It was a very organic process. I wrote it with the intention of recording it and I wrote it from my heart. I wanted to put together a compilation of words that would motivate a creative, progressive seeker like myself. I disciplined myself to finish it, but it was honestly one of the most fulfilling projects I have done, especially the recording piece of it.

SW: What is the biggest lesson that you hope your readers get out of your book?
CD: The biggest lesson I want listeners to get from the audiobook is that your best year, day, best anything, is what you decide it is and it evolves as you evolve. I want people to feel good and empowered about their own decisions and the standards they set for themselves. I want them to believe that they can attain what they want and to deeply believe one must act consistently in the direction of that desire with faith.

SW: After listening to a few clips of your audio book, one of my favorite lines was your overall goal, “To make everyday the best day of your life” how are you able to influence your readers/ audience to adapt this positive mindset?
CD: When you take the time to do this and you are ready for things to change in your life, you will take action. I truly believe that deep down in our hearts we know what we need to do to get to where we want to go, sometimes we just need a little guidance and encouragement and to be reminded that what you want is more than possible. This sense of hope is what I hope to inspire in people with my work in the book and as a coach.

SW: How do you see your business evolving over the next few years?
CD: I am very soon going to become a new mom and that is going to change my life, however I am more committed than ever to my work. I plan to speak at many conferences, continue serving through my writing and coaching. I am excited for what's planned for my business, but more excited for the unexpected surprises I know the universe has in store.

SW: How do you continue to empower and motivate yourself, so that you have the to influence and guide others?
CD: My sense of personal empowerment comes from a combination of many factors. I am a student of A Course in Miracles, a spiritual text that teaches you to live based on the power of Love as your truth. I have a deep faith in the idea that Spirit, God loves me, lives through my work and me. I have always wanted to be the best I can be and help others do the same, which has been one of the greatest motivation of my life. This is my wish and prayer for everyone.
