A Day in the Life of a ZINC Resident

11:41 AM

In my ten years as a Boston are resident I've lived all over; Somerville, Back Bay, Fenway, Boston Common, Quincy. But I've never had the pleasure of living in Cambridge. During my first job out of college I was lucky enough to work in East Cambridge near the Cambridgeside Galleria and it quickly became one of my favorite areas of the city. It was a small but active community dotted with local coffee shops and stores where you saw lots of the same faces throughout the neighborhood. Since then the area has grown and the community has thrived as new constructions have popped up and businesses have expanded.

Among those new constructions, just off Monsignor O'Brien Highway, is ZINC Apartments. At ZINC, residents enjoy luxury amenities like 24 hour concierge service, a luxurious garden terrace with grills and lounge areas, floor to ceiling windows, a gym, pet spa, bike garage, and more. Talk about living the dream! I was lucky enough to spend the day living like a ZINC resident in East Cambridge and kicked it off with a tour of the building and model apartments. I was immediately in love with the modern design and feel of the apartments and building as well as the unique artwork that adorns their common areas.

After the tour I took a walk to Tatte Bakery for a mid-day pick me up. I really wish I lived near a Tatte, it's one of my favorite bakeries in Boston! (Although, it's probably better for my wallet that I don't...) After a sandwich, a strong cup of coffee, and a pastry I ventured to the Museum of Science

My gosh, it had been years since I'd been to the museum. I loved exploring the different exhibits, and was able to catch the Spiders Alive exhibit before it left the museum.I also made my first trip to the Butterfly Garden where I was able to snap some amazing photos. We even got to see a baby chick hatch, which I was probably more excited about than the kids at the museum.

After the museum we stopped by Cambridgeside Galleria which is a short walk from Zinc. It's one of my favorite malls in the greater Boston area because it's a treasure trove of shopping at places like Banana Republic, J.Crew, and my favorite Club Monaco. This location in particular has an unbeatable selection and on this trip I scored two amazing pieces for just $60!

Shopping really worked up an appetite so we ventured to Bambara for dinner. I snacked on Tuna Tartare while my date dug into a plate of Crispy Chicken Wings. For dinner we ordered a Cheddar Burger with Herb Fries and the Braised Lentils while I sipped on a glass of chilled rosé. We wrapped dinner just before nine so we opted for one more adventure at the Museum of Science- the 9 p.m. showing of the Michael Jackson laser show! It was a unique date night activity and a really fun way to end the night!

If only I lived at ZINC and lived just across the road from the museum! These residents really enjoy some amazing amenities and gorgeous living spaces. Zinc has a limited number of apartments remaining; head to ZINC today for a glimpse of luxury living on the other side of the Charles!
