4 Summer Day Trips Within 101 Miles of Boston

5:42 PM

With summer in full swing I thought I would share some of my favorite day trip destinations within 101 miles of Boston! There's nothing like waking up on a beautiful day, hopping in the car with a friend, and tackling a new adventure. There's something on this list for everyone! The question is, when can we hit the road?!

Local Beaches: Thirty-five miles away on the South Shore lies Rexhame Beach (pictured), one of my favorite New England beaches. It's dog friendly, has a small parking lot, and restroom facilities nearby. I can't think of a better way to spent a sunny day than hanging on the beach with my pup and a good book. If you prefer the North Shore, Singing Beach is only about 30 miles north. While it's not pet friendly, it's easily accessible by the Commuter Rail (no car required!) and also has parking, restroom facilities, and food services on site.

Mirbeau Inn & Spa: Less than 50 miles from Boston lies Mirbeau Inn & Spa in Plymouth, MA. Enjoy a relaxing lunch on their outdoor terrace, take a dip in the outdoor whirlpool, or book a massage or facial at their luxurious spa. They also offer fitness classes and is located on the 18th hole of the Pinehills Golf Club, if you prefer to spend the day on the green.

Six Flags New England: Just 97 miles from Boston is Six Flags New England! I've been heading to Six Flags for almost 10 years now and have previously purchased season passes. I always get a kick out of exploring the park, eating fried Oreos and funnel cake, and floating along the Lazy River on hot summer days. Whether you're going with the family, a group of friends, or your significant other it's fun for everyone.

Foxwoods Resort Casino: If you're feeling lucky Foxwoods Resort Casino is the place for you and is just 101 miles from Boston! With multiple casinos and restaurants, a golf course, bowling alley, Tanger Premium Outlets, G Spa & Salon, and events like Liquid Sundays you can party like a rockstar all day long. Valet is free and there are multiple hotels in the area just in case you party a little too hard.

I've already been to Foxwoods and Six Flags this summer so it must be time for a beach day and a spa trip! Wherever you go this summer, happy day tripping!
