For me, a few swipes of mascara just doesn't cut it. Over the years I've found that the prettiest lashes are often the result of layering two different mascaras.
Currently, I layer MAC's Haute & Naughty in Too Black Lash with Model Co.'s Fibre LashXtend in black. MAC's Haute & Naughty mascara is by far, my favorite mascara ever. The dual wand allows you to apply less product for a natural look, or more product for a more dramatic look. I use less product and use the fine bristles in the brush to really separate and coat each lash.
I first mentioned this Model Co. mascara when it came in my Birchbox a couple of month's ago and I've really grown to like it. Before I was layering MAC Haute & Naughty with Benefit's Bad Gal Lash. Now I use this, just on the tips to lengthen my lashes after applying MAC's Haute & Naughty. The little fibers really do lengthen your lashes!
Do you use more than one mascara? I've heard about a lot of folks using Benefit's Bad Gal with They're Real and getting some pretty great results.

somehow doing this has never occurred to me? i also pretty much just realized that after putting on a few swipes of mascara, i can stick the wand back in and then give a few more swipes. since i wear glasses, i don't want longer lashes--just fuller! i love the look of really full lashes. i may be giving this 2 different mascaras a try!

I am especially heavy handed with mascara and eyeliner when I am wearing my glasses.
DeleteI use two mascaras too. It really makes a difference!

I find its good to combine ones with specific purposes, like a lengthening and then a volumizing.
DeleteYeah, I always do this, the difference it makes is pretty dramatic!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it? I love the look.
DeleteInteresting! I've never thought to use two different mascaras. Genius! Thank you!
