I spent the few days after Christmas and before New Year's with my parents, brother, sister-in-law, as well as her family at my parents condo in Rockport, Texas. Rockport is a small town on the coast known for its fishing and is a hot spot among what we call "Winter Texans." Fishermen, hunters, and retired folks come from all over to enjoy the mild weather and the fishing.

There is a private beach and several private piers and I ventured out on one of the sunnier days to play in the sun and walk the pier. I can't tell you how relaxing it is to take a moment and just stare out into the Gulf of Mexico.










I'm wearing a Forever 21 lace sundress (old), and a faux fur vest from Banana Republic. No shoes, no makeup, just me, the beach, the pier, and the water. Oh, and a pelican that stopped by to visit!
