Salon Mario Russo Experience

10:53 AM

Last week Georgina from Notes on Lifestyle invited Emily of So Anthro, Jodi of Jodi Bean's Blog, Courtney of Those Graces, and me for an evening of 60s inspired looks at Salon Mario Russo on Newbury Street. Boy, were we in for a treat!

There was champagne and cupcakes, and my fabulous stylist Leah did things to my hair I had only dreamed about. The theme for the night was 60s so I donned a graphic print and a bold cat eye. I'm totally a sucker for themes! Leah pinned my hair into an Adele meets Joan Holloway style twist with a little faux bang. It looked so good I made my boyfriend meet me for dinner in the South End!

Courtney was styled by Tatiana; those hot rollers made some gorgeous waves!

Emily had her hair styled by Leah as well!

Thanks to Georgina and Andre for putting together such a fab evening!

That night I really didn't want the magic to end. The magic that was my hair at least... so I wrapped it in a silk scarf before bed and the next morning with some light combing and a little more hair spray it was good as new. I got so many compliments on my hair at work the next day! I snapped a photo with Evie after work. Can you believe it looked this good almost 24 hours after she initially styled it?

I can't wait to plan my next visit to Salon Mario Russo. It was a really great experience at a beautiful salon. The staff was fantastic and I had such a good time hanging out with the other bloggers. See more photos on Jodi's blog here!

I was provided complimentary styling services and refreshments. All opinions expressed are my own.
