Pro-Tip Tuesday: Prepping for Fall

11:01 AM

Labor Day has come and gone signaling the unofficial end of Summer. As we transition into Fall there are a few things I like to take care of before the leaves hit the ground...

Lauren Ralph Lauren Misa Boot // Loft Juliet Cap Toe Bootie // Classic Tall Uggs

Dry Cleaning: This is the perfect time to get all your seasonal dry cleaning done. Have your coats cleaned for the upcoming year, and dry clean any Spring and Summer clothing that will be put into storage.

Boot & Shoe Repair: Take a look at the heels and soles of your boots, are they worn down to the base of the heel? Get your boots ready for another year by taking them to a local cobbler for a little TLC. Heels and soles can easily be repaired on most shoes. The same goes for handbags as well; holes can be patched and hardware can be replaced.

Clean Your Uggs: If you insist on wearing your Uggs early in the season, make sure they are clean! There are numerous resources across the web for cleaning your Uggs and it really makes a world of difference. To keep them looking great even longer, don't wear them in the snow and rain.

Fall Inventory: I purchased tall black boots last year, and this year I am looking for short brown boots. Take a peek at your closet and see what you are missing to create your ideal looks for fall and take a look at what you have too many of; I have an affinity for grey sweaters but I think 3 is enough.

What's on your Fall fashion to-do list?
