Lunch at Del Frisco's Grille

7:10 AM

When Blog & Tweet Boston went to Del Frisco's Steakhouse, I was infinitely jealous! Pictures of their giant lemon cake and fresh salads flooded my Instagram feed for days. So imagine my luck and excitement when they hosted another event with the new Del Frisco's Grille at Chestnut Hill and I was able to attend!

When we arrived we were warmly greeted with a tray of their signature cocktail, the VIP. It's made with pineapple infused vodka and was right up my alley. Our servers promptly began serving appetizers; Deviled Eggs with Truffle sauce, Cheesesteak Eggrolls, Ahi Tacos, Crab Cakes, and an array of flatbreads. The Ahi Tacos were my favorite, I definitely had at least four... But I love ahi tuna anything.

We sampled some of their amazing steaks including the Prime Beef Short Rib Stroganoff and their Prime Sliced Steak. Their Seared Asian Tuna Salad was another favorite, I definitely went back for seconds of the salad and sliced steak. They also served up an impressive specialty burger with a fried egg and lobster claw-- talk about a hearty meal!

Then it was time for that famous, six-layer lemon cake! It was just as yummy as everyone hyped it up to be, and it was HUGE! This is definitely a split-with-a-friend (maybe even 2) type of dessert. They also served up bite size versions of their lemon cake which I enjoyed but were much more dense and rich than the original cake.

The service at Del Frisco's Grille was fantastic, the servers were very attentive to our needs and answered all of our crazy blogger questions about entrees and ingredients. I would definitely go back to Del Frisco's Grille; the food was great and it has a diverse menu that sure to please a variety of tastes, while still pleasing a classic steak lover.

We ate so much! I sampled everything (and some things multiple times) but it was all so yummy I couldn't help myself. I'll definitely be back for another order of the Ahi Tacos and their creative burgers! Next time you're at the Street at Chestnut Hill be sure to stop by Del Frisco's for lunch, brunch, or dinner.
