When I moved from Texas to Boston my skin went crazy. Talk about a major difference in climate and environment! I went from the year-round sauna that is South Texas to the ever-changing climate New England is known for. I searched high and low for products that would be gentle on my skin but still effectively remove makeup and dirt. 

Since moving to the city my skin care routine has become much more involved; there are so many harsh pollutants and free radicals floating around in urban cities! And we all try to protect our skin from the sun, but what about the wind? That's where Simple Skincare's Kind to City Skin initiative comes in! Simple Skincare is trying to bring attention to the toll living in an urban environment can take on your skin and has created a range of products that address these issues all while staying away from harsh chemicals, artificial fragrances, and dyes.

Simple sent me a box of their new products to try and I'm in love! Their Cleansing Facial Wipes can be found in my gym bag or on my nightstand-- I can get lazy about washing my face before bed but keeping a pack of these on my nightstand leaves no room for laziness! 

You can see just how well these fragrance-free wipes remove makeup after a long day in the photo below. The facial wipes remove eye makeup pretty well on their own, but for waterproof or heavy eye makeup their Eye Makeup Remover Pads are awesome. It took off my heavy winged liner in just a few swipes!


I also really liked the Foaming Facial Cleanser and Nourishing 24 Hour Day/Night Cream. I've since incorporated both products into my daily routine. As should you, fellow city dwellers! Simple surveyed women in top cities across the US and found that Women in top US cities are oblivious to the wear and tear being a city dweller has on the skin. Some of us aren't regularly washing our faces, some are subsiding on unhealthy diets or eating habits, and some are guilty of ignoring SPF, but a few changes in our routine can make a big difference.
