What I Wore: Ouimillie Beacon Hill

One of my favorite things about blogging is discovering local boutiques and meeting their owners and curators. I recently spent the afternoon with the ladies from Ouimillie on Charles Street and it was an afternoon to remember! We spent hours playing dress up in the shop, exploring the unique brands available at Ouimillie, sampling licorice, and styling some fun seasonal looks.

Located at 121 Charles Street a short walk from Charles/MGH station, this basement level shop is bursting with unique paintings, European based clothing brands you won't find anywhere else in Boston, and a beautifully curated selection of housewares and accessories (Add it to your list of stores to hit when holiday shopping!). Ouimillie opened in May and is a pleasant reprieve from the troves of boutiques carrying popular American brands.

Millicent Cutler (founder and owner) and her business partner Alison Lewis run the shop and have put great thought in to the pieces and products they carry. They introduced me to Danish brands Rabens, and Baum und Pferdgarten as well as Parisian denim brand Reiko. I immediately fell in love with the super soft fabrics and drapey silhouettes behind Rabens knit tops and the slim cut of Reikos jeans and chinos. We paired Reiko's classic red chinos with a Rabens tee with a Reiko studded belt. For a touch of glam we topped it with Baum and Pfedrgarten's gold bomber.
