What I Wore: Last Bare Midriff of the Season

8:17 PM

It's been a while since I've shared a good old fashioned style post, hasn't it?! Figured I should get this one up before there is snow on the ground. I popped by the Steven Alan FW17 event on Newbury Street and picked up this chic striped top. It was love at first sight really, and to be honest, this is one of those tops that I put on and was instantly feeling myself (in case this shoot doesn't show that, hahah).

I love the cropped silhouette, the effortless drape of the back, and the loose bracelet sleeves. I can see myself restyling it layered over a longer flannel or over a more fitted patterned top, but for now I really love pairing it with high waisted denim and my favorite Frye's. These high waisted skinnies are by Mott & Bow and they're a great quality denim and fit like a dream. I ordered my usual size 24 and while they were pretty snug when they arrived, they stretched out just enough to fit comfortably throughout the day.

Unfortunately, Winter decided to arrive, so this is the last bare midriff Boston is going to see. Thankfully, I'm headed home to Texas for Thanksgiving in just under two weeks so hopefully I'll be leaving my parka behind!
