What I Wore: Little Red Dress

Love is in the air! Well, sort of. Heart shaped chocolates, velvet roses, and boxes of paper Valentine's are in stock at CVS. And whether you're celebrating with your sweetie or your bestie this Valentine's Day, I thought this little red dress from StyleWe was perfect for the occasion! I paired it with grey OTK boots for a flirty, feminine vibe.

I have no idea what my better half has planned for the evening (and I know he's not really into the holiday), but hopefully it's something fun and I get to wear this fiery little number!

I love the asymmetrical sleeve on this dress. It makes such a simple dress so chic and dramatic! And paired with the boots, it's a very classic look. Lots of you commented on these boots when I shared a sneak peek of this look on Instagram Saturday. After searching high and low for the perfect pair of OTK boots I went with these per the recommendation of Extra Petite. They fit perfectly and were worth every penny. I'm still searching for the perfect pair of slim calm flat boots though.. Maybe next year!

What We Wore: His & Hers Snow Day

Winter has officially arrived! Boston experienced its first real snowfall this past week and along with it, some bone chilling temperatures. Bring on the thick sweaters, down parkas, and all the wool socks! After it snowed alllllll day Saturday we spent the evening cooking together and watching The Revenant (good but intense snow day flick). Sunday morning we couldn't resist bundling up to grab some snow day photos and test out our new Sperry duck boots! After nearly 8 inches snow fell, duck boots were an absolute necessity to trudge through the snow and slush.

Anthony paired his traditional Decoy Shearling Duck Boots with classic selvedge denim, a slim-fit white button down, puffer jacket, and trapper hat while I went a less traditional route with my duck boots. I choose the Emerald Green Rope Embossed Duck Boots and paired them with cozy leggings and a fur lined vest. It was the perfect Aprés Snow look. I love the green color of these but if it's not your style ladies can customize their own pair of Saltwater Duck Boots at Sperry.com. Pick your leather, duck shell, outsole, laces, and lining. You can even monogram them for a preppy take on this traditional New England style!

What I Wore: Layered in Stripes

My how time is flying! I can't believe December is already here and Christmas is just 20 days away. I've been so busy working, traveling, and trying to finish up my Christmas shopping that I've barely shot or shared any outfits! I wore this black and white look on Thanksgiving and it was just dressy enough for Thanksgiving dinner without being too constricting. Gotta have room for that food baby, am I right?

I scored the top during Banana Republic's sale the day before Thanksgiving and I absolutely love it! Very Chanel-esque with a modern shape. I layered it over my favorite striped crop top and comfy leggings from American Apparel and finished the look with my Ariat boots. I probably wear this striped crop top way too often (as seen here and here and here...) but it's such a great layering piece.

I think the boots really made the look. Ariat is one of the only brands I've found that fit my slim calves perfectly. I'm super picky about my tall boots. I don't like fabric or goring, I like them nice and slim and prefer them to have a flat or wedge heel. Know any boots that fit the bill? Share them with me on social! What I Wore: Layered Trench

Yet again my Ann Taylor sleveless trench coming through in the clutch! Whenever I'm not quite sure what to wear but want to look put together I reach for this trench. And that was the case when I went on a date to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum; I wanted to look chic but not like I was trying too hard and most importantly, I wanted to be warm. Worked out perfectly! (And so did the date!)

What I Wore: Timberland's

Just a quick post to share some new pieces I've been rocking lately! I've been exploring some new brands as well as some old favorites and it's been trial and error lately. Especially when it comes to boots! I swear I've ordered and returned so many pairs. But I think I've finally settled on some favorites including the Timberlands I'm wearing in this outfit...

More often than not, when you think Timberland the classic Timb' comes to mind but these grey leather boots are functional, comfortable, and cute. I really love Timberland boots for winter (see my other pair from last year here). They're well made and water resistant but this particular pair run a bit narrow so be sure to stretch them out with shoe trees or size up!

What I Wore: Rainy Days in Fur & Studs

Rainy days won't keep me down this weekend! I'm loving these studded rain boots I bought at Primark a few weeks ago. It was a little counter-intuitive to match black studded boots and a faux fur vest (and I definitely got some weird looks from the boys at work) but I loved this look so much I wore it two days in a row. #SorryNotSorry

What I Wore: A Very Blustery Day

While today will be warmer and rainy, it's been bitterly cold lately; I've been relying heavily on chunky knits, wool socks, and tall boots. I recently received these boots from Shoebuy.com and they've been perfect for wearing to work on blustery days with leg warmers or boot cuffs.

They are by Sperry Topsider and are a super soft, supple leather with gold buckle detailing. I actually tried a different pair from Shoebuy initially but exchanged them for these more practical, everyday beauties. The exchange process was seamless and I received my new pair in no time. They have such a large selection of boots it was tough to decide!

What I Wore: SOWA Sundays with Camper Shoes

I rarely have Sundays off of work but when I do I love to head to SoWa in the South End. There's just something about sipping a cup of coffee while perusing various vintage treasures and knick knacks that is so relaxing and rejuvenating. While the outdoor market is now closed for the season (it's open May-October), the Vintage Market is indoors and open year-round at 460C Harrison Ave.

Comfort is key while perusing seemingly endless aisles of potential treasures so I wore my new Camper booties from Simon Shoes for a recent SoWa Sunday outing with a few of my blogger babes. These little booties have been getting a lot of wear lately! From work to the streets of Boston they are my go-to booties when comfort is key. Dare I say they are the perfect bootie? Cause I think they are.

The heel is the perfect height for wearing from day to night without sore feet or feeling frumpy. What I Wore: Shades of Tan & Fur

A little over a week ago we had one day of nice weather. Since then it's been cold and snowy, but on that one nice day I wore this and it was glorious. I actually wore it again on a cooler day with black tights and ankle booties; perfect & cozy.

The boots are another recent Marshall's find, probably my best one yet! Rebecca Minkoff booties scored for... $23! I remember seeing them in store when they first came in but the $170 price tag was still too steep for me. When I was shopping a couple of weeks ago they were there in my size and with a much more friendly price tag. I'm in love!

What I Wore: Black & Tan

Snow is still falling from the sky here in Boston. I thought I saw some signs of Spring, but I must have been mistaken as we are currently in the midst of winter storm Saturn. My boyfriend and I ventured out for a coffee date after a recent storm last week and took a little photo detour.
