Here to Stay: Phillip Lim 31 Hour Bag
2:00 PMFrom the moment I saw that two-toned bag in all it's leathery glory on the glossy pages of Glamour, I was in love. While every New Yorker and blogger was clamoring for the Phillip Lim's Pashli satchel, I knew the 31 hour bag, in all it's simplistic, chic, glory was my ideal match.
I bought it as my official work bag when I started my new job; professional, roomy, simple, chic. I needed a bag big enough to fit a pair of heels, my iPad, iPhone, wallet, keys, makeup bag, charger, and lunch. It was a tall order my Marc by Marc Jacobs Huge Hillier Hobo just wasn't able to fill.
When I took it out of the dust bag I immediately ran my hands over the soft, buttery brown and black leather. The sleek metal pulls are really well designed and function well, however they do build a patina of their own over time. The leather is soft but durable; it's been caught in the rain and over-filled too many times to count. The great thing is that even when it's overflowing with stuff, it still looks chic.
After my Marc Jacobs bag, it's the most expensive handbag I own but it's been a solid investment; Stylitics doesn't lie.
